People have tried to pass off these releases as legitimate Cale recordings: good looking cover art, printed silver discs and what-not. Most of these releases consist of live recordings culled from radio and tv broadcasts, with a few rarities thrown in for good measure.
They want to make money with this. These are bootlegs in the classic sense of the word. You find them in record stores every now and then and they turn up quite often on eBay and sketchy sites (at a price).
