Live at the Zeche Zollverein / Salzlager, Essen, Germany - July 09, 2010. Showing of his Dyddiau Du/Dark Days project, a specially commissioned installation that was first used to represent Wales at the 53rd Venice Biennale of Art 2009.
"In Essen, the place was so huge and we had beautiful giant screens for the visuals, they were great. We performed it live, the soundtrack, from another part of the building. The problem with doing that is that, you know, people are aware somewhere in the building I'm performing the thing, and they are distracted by it. And we couldn't use loudspeakers in the place because it was so huge that the echo would have destroyed the sound, so we gave everybody headphones."
