John Cale
"What I enjoy most about being on stage is that the natural instruments give you a greater freedom with texture. When you use natural instruments they have their own resonance."

A good show, John came on at 9.00, opening with an unexpected Venus In Furs. He went on to play just over 90 minutes. The venue was only half full and plenty of space to walk pretty much to the front.

Highlights for me were Big White Cloud, Chinese Envoy and a wonderful Cable Hogue.

The actual set list varied after Cable Hogue, when from memory the main set finished with Turn the Lights On, Things and Leaving it (although my memory is not what is was and so this may be wrong). The encore was just Chorale.
