I really had a bad reputation for not doing the same things twice, and really with a vengeance. People would be like, “is that song?†It’s nice now to get people to expect that. I think I’ve worn a groove there that you don’t know quite what it’s going to be. But for me, I can’t go on the road and do the same things all the time. Drives me nuts."

A very well-mooded Cale plays for almost two hours and brings a mix of songs mainly from the Island years (mid '70's) and of his latest two EMI-albums. There’s a lot of variation within the set from light and romantic (Buffalo Ballet !!!), to heavy duty swampy guitar rock (Dirty Ass Rock'n Roll !!!) and the amazing slow version of Gun.
Cale and the band enjoy themselves and there’s a lot of interaction and little games between the master and his lead guitar player (eg. where they imitate each others solo). A cat has seven lives, Cale seems to enjoy his fifth quite well! There's more where this came from.
