Gary Fox was at this show:
"The band flew in from New York on Indian Airlines, who managed to lose some of the instruments. Three shows were played in France before the Lyceum show.
Nico was in London recording Drama of Exile at the time and was quite irate with John. The dressing room door was blocked with tables and chairs to stop her from getting in. She was in the front row of the audience screaming at John all night to give her the money she thought he owed her.
Jim Goodwin told me that the London show was the best they ever played, Robert Medici thinks it was the best version of Riverbank...ever. I was there and it was one of Cale's best ever, though the tape doesn't capture all the excitement.
Cale came on stage wearing a face mask. I don't remember him playing keyboards, but bass and rhythm yes. Vic Goddard's Subway Sect were one of the support acts."
