Bloody expensive ... For the rich and famous only. Of course, all the taxi's have a meter, but it is not unlikely to be driven all around town before you reach your destination. After which the driver expects a big tip.

Locals only use taxi's when public transport is on strike (about two times a year). Taxi drivers rarely smile, unless you want them to take you to a club for some booze and casual sex. The owners of these clubs give them a percentage for their trouble.
